White House Deluged With Red Mail

Cause marketing transformed with AmazingMail’s Web-based direct mail service, AmazingCauses

It took Red Envelope Project supporters just a few mouse clicks to send nearly 40,000 red envelopes to Washington at about a dollar each. Typical problems for mail campaigns – writing a message on an empty envelope, addressing it correctly, paying proper postage, and ensuring all their mail went out same day for maximum impact – disappeared when supporters used AmazingCauses, a Web-accessed direct mail service by Scottsdale, Arizona-based AmazingMail.com Inc.

“I was very happy with what AmazingMail did for the campaign,” says Christ Otto, of the Red Envelope Project, a grassroots movement he founded to oppose President Obama’s position on the sensitive issue of abortion rights. “AmazingMail not only has very convenient online service, their people were very professional in adapting their service to our specific cause. So I’ll be using AmazingMail again but this time for a completely separate project. It will help raise funds for my ministry, the Beacon Hill House of Prayer.”

Though the Red Letter Project did not raise funds, nearly 3 million red envelopes ended up in the White House mail room.

In business since 1999 serving thousands of clients across the U.S., AmazingMail has automated the tedious tasks of creating and running direct mail campaigns. At AmazingMail, in just a few minutes clients can single-handedly design or select a postcard, folding card or or other mailing pieces, add or buy a mailing list, pick the most cost-effective postage rate, pay by credit card, and even track their campaign’s progress through the postal system.

And it doesn’t matter what your cause is, so long as it’s peaceful.

“As people we may or may not individually sympathize with many non-profit causes, but as a company AmazingMail.com is, as we put it,‘cause neutral’,” says the company’s CEO, Chris Lynde. “We merely facilitate our client’s messaging or fundraising. But we offer a revolutionary way of doing it.”

One of the advocates for the AmazingMail revolution can be found at Brian Potter Productions in Houston.

“We discovered AmazingMail late in the Red Letter Envelope campaign, but it proved to be a powerful addition to FaceBook and the other social networking tools we use,” says Brian Potter, who did much of the legwork connecting the Red Letter Envelope Project to AmazingMail.

“Based on our success working with Brian, we’ve built a new online service that makes it even easier for people with causes to launch awareness and when needed, fundraising campaigns. They can also create a Website “landing pages” that drive advocacy, outreach and fundraising through our downloadable GiveWidgets and other automated Web tools,” says Gene Scholes, AmazingMail.com’s Director of Interactive Marketing. “It’s called AmazingCauses (amazingcauses.com) and it is powered by AmazingMail.”

AmazingCauses provides an automated web-to-print services platform that gives non-profit groups a highly effective, automated way to reach out to supporters online, anywhere, anytime, and in turn lets those supporters take action with one simple click while being cost-neutral or even adding to a cause’s fundraising goals.

An early example of the fundraising potential of AmazingCauses is the Ahava Kids campaign (amazingcauses.com/ahava/) where one mouse-click can send a personalized card in the mail expressing inspiration, restoration and hope to young victims of human trafficking. And each online purchase of a two-dollar, high-quality card triggers an automatic 70-cent donation to the Ahava Kids.

It’s a method Archimedes of ancient Greece might have appreciated, having once said: Give me a lever long enough and a place to stand, and I can move the world!

AmazingCauses by AmazingMail is today’s lever for those who want to make a stand and change the world.
